Sofia Douklia is a music teacher and singer- songwriter from Patras/Greece.

Her journey in the academic world began with Undergraduate Studies at the Department of Education and Preschool Education (TEEAPI) of the University of Patras, where she gained a lot of knowledge and ideas about the psychosynthesis of preschool children. At the same time, her long involvement with music contributed to the continuation of her studies as a postgraduate student at Kingston University (Greater London) entitled "Music in Education".

Her interest in the effect of music on all levels of education and the parallel attendance of Music Therapy seminars (Nordoff & Robbins Music Therapy), led me to prepare a postgraduate thesis on "The effect of Music Therapy on teenagers with depression".However, the acquisition of professional experience in the field of Education, announced a special desire for further research in the field of education and cognitive psychology and the continuation of her studies as a PhD resrearcher at the University of Patras.

Armed with lots of music performances as a singer she is still wondering if she is gonna teach or sing after all…
